CIRANO was a partner of the 63nd Annual Meeting of the Société canadienne de science économique (SCSE) which was held from May 15 to 17, 2024 at HEC Montréal's Hélène Desmarais Building, 501 de la Gauchetière West Street.
Each year, this congress brings together specialists from all over the French-speaking world. This year's edition has featured a number of events highlighting the work of CIRANO researchers, including tributes to Marcel Boyer, Professor Emeritus of Economics at Université de Montréal, and Bernard Fortin, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Economics at Université Laval, as well as a plenary session moderated by Charles Bellemare, Professor in the Department of Economics at Université Laval and CIRANO Fellow.
Pierre-Carl Michaud, Professor at HEC Montréal, Jacques-Parizeau Research Chair in Economic Policy, Vice-President Strategy and Government Relations and CIRANO Fellow, was present as President-Elect of the Société canadienne de science économique.
