Biography

Daniel Otis worked for more than fifteen years in the Québec public service, notably with the Auditor General of Québec and the Secrétariat du Conseil du trésor (SCT). At SCT, from 2018 to 2023, he held the position of Director of Governance for Evaluation, Internal Audit and Risk Management. He contributed to the adoption and implementation of two government framework tools: a Directive on Internal Audit and Integrated Risk Management Guidelines. He also spent ten years working for the federal government's Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec (CED) as a senior program evaluation advisor. From 2007 to 2009, he was coordinator of results-based management at the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie. Mr. Otis holds a master's degree in political science from Université Laval.
