Research and Data in Education: Enlightening Public Policy

Thursday 30 Oct 2025
From 8:45AM To 4:45PM

CIRANO and CIQSS are organizing a day of discussion on education research and data, bringing together researchers, decision-makers, and practitioners.

The morning session will highlight various education research projects that draw on diverse data sources to help us better understand education issues and inform public policy. The afternoon session will present a variety of data sets from several organizations covering different topics, some of which have not yet been fully explored, in order to broaden our perspectives.

During the day, Marie Connolly (UQAM, CIRANO) will present her research findings on the economic benefits of increasing graduation rates among boys in Quebec, as well as her work on school dropout rates.
