CIRANO participated in a conference organized by the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations (CORIM), during which Quebec’s Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, Christopher Skeete, delivered a keynote address entitled “Between tensions and transitions: Quebec’s unique diplomacy.”
The presentation offered insights into Quebec’s international positioning in a context shaped by geopolitical realignments, economic and technological transitions, and the distinctive role played by Quebec diplomacy within La Francophonie and on the international stage.
CIRANO was well represented at the event, notably by its President and CEO, Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin, the Chair of its Board of Directors, Yves Giroux, as well as several board members, partners, researchers, invited Fellows, and collaborators, including Thierry Warin (CIRANO, HEC Montréal), Julien Martin (CIRANO, ESG UQAM), Alain Dudoit (CIRANO Invited Fellow), Ingrid Peignier (Senior Director, Partnerships and Research Outreach, CIRANO), Molivann Panot (Project Director, CIRANO), Nicolas Charette (Research Professional, CIRANO), Ari Van Assche (CIRANO, HEC Montréal), and Stéphane Paquin (CIRANO, ÉNAP).
The conference was held under the leadership of Anne‑Marie Hubert, President of CORIM and CIRANO Invited Fellow. The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with key stakeholders in diplomacy and La Francophonie and aligns with CIRANO’s commitment to fostering informed dialogue on Quebec’s international role.
