Established in 2000 with the support of the Bell University Laboratories and the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), the Claude Montmarquette Experimental Economics Laboratory is a core research infrastructure at CIRANO. To date, CIRANO researchers and their academic collaborators have conducted more than 800 experimental sessions, involving primarily students from Montréal-area universities.
The laboratory’s scientific direction is jointly led by Sabine Kröger (Université Laval, CIRANO) and Huan Xie (Concordia University, CIRANO).
CIRANO is currently recruiting new participants to take part in experimental economics studies conducted at its downtown Montréal laboratory.
Participants are asked to answer questions and make decisions individually on a computer. Each experiment follows a different protocol, and participants receive financial compensation ranging from $15 to $60, depending on the experiment and decisions made (approximately $15 per hour on average).
Open to a broad audience, these experiments provide an accessible and meaningful way to contribute to cutting-edge economic research while supporting the work of the CIRANO research community.

CIRANO also encourages participants and partners to share this call within their networks to support ongoing and future research activities.
