CIRANO is pleased to recognize Catherine Beaudry, CIRANO Researcher and Fellow and Full Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, as the recipient of the 2026 Gérard-Parizeau Award.
Awarded annually, alternating between economics and management and history, the Gérard-Parizeau Award recognizes the exceptional contribution of a researcher in these fields.
A CIRANO Researcher and Fellow since 2002, Catherine Beaudry is also Principal Researcher for CIRANO’s Innovation and Digital Transformation theme and holds the Canada Research Chair on the Creation, Development and Commercialization of Innovation. Her research focuses notably on technological change and innovation.
As part of the award ceremony, Catherine Beaudry will give a lecture entitled “Propulser l’innovation grâce aux données” on October 6 at HEC Montréal. The lecture will be followed by a roundtable featuring Patrick Cohendet (HEC Montréal), Luc Sirois (Chief Innovator of Quebec) and Sophie Veilleux (Université Laval), moderated by Benoit Dostie (HEC Montréal).
