The objective of the structuring project on the state of the labour market in Quebec is to delineate six different areas of the Programmation de recherche à portée gouvernementale (PRPG)'s research programme: labour market participation, immigration, teaching and education, innovation and productivity, taxation and regulation. . Each of these areas is covered in a separate chapter of this report. By identifying known data, available information and analyses that have already been carried out, this exercise provides an opportunity to establish a coherent structure for linking and presenting the different areas. To carry out this exercise, several CIRANO researchers, experts in their field, took part in the project.
