Biography

Benoit A. Aubert is a Fellow at CIRANO and a professor of information technology at HEC Montréal (Canada). He has served as CEO of CIRANO, Dean of the Rowe School of Business at Dalhousie University (Canada), and Director of the School of Information Management and professor at Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). Benoit Aubert’s main areas of research are risk management, outsourcing, offshoring, innovation, and business transformation.

He is currently co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Strategic Information Systems. He served as co-chair of the AMCIS 2025 conference. He served as program co-chair for AMCIS in 2021 and as co-chair of the economics and IS track for PACIS 2022. He co-chaired the outsourcing minitrack at the HICSS conference for ten years and served as Senior Editor of the journal Database for nine years. Benoit Aubert is a Distinguished Member – Cum Laude of the Association for Information Systems.
