On September 23, CIRANO welcomed nearly sixty people to the launch of the book Québec: A Health System Profile, co-authored by Emmanuelle Arpin (School of Public Health, Université de Montréal, CIRANO), Amélie Quesnel-Vallée (McGill University, CIRANO), and Lara Gautier (School of Public Health, Université de Montréal), published by University of Toronto Press.
This book provides an overview of the Quebec health care system, analyzing its organizational structure, policy reforms, sociopolitical history, and pioneering innovations in the Canadian health care landscape.
After a presentation of the Provincial and Territorial Health System Profiles series by Sara Allin (University of Toronto), the authors discussed the challenges and future prospects of the Quebec health care system with André Picard, health columnist for The Globe and Mail.
Thank you to the Centre for Centre de recherche en santé publique (CReSP) and McGill University for their collaboration.
Thank you to the authors, Sara Allin, André Picard, and everyone who attended for this inspiring exchange.
