Since 2023, CIRANO has been collaborating on the event “Women in Economics,” an initiative led by two professors from the Department of Economics at Laval University, Catherine Michaud-Leclerc and Maripier Isabelle, CIRANO researcher. This day aims to promote research in gender economics and offer the emerging researchers a unique opportunity for networking and mentoring.
Next May, the Société canadienne de science économique (SCSE) conference will host the fifth edition of the “Women in Economics” day. A joint SCSE-Women in Economics-CIRANO plenary conference will feature Marion Goussé (CREST-ENSAI). Professor Goussé will also co-host a mentoring session for students interested in sharing their thoughts on gender issues in fields related to economics.
The SCSE call for papers ends on January 16. One session will be dedicated to the economics of gender, with a particular focus on submissions from doctoral students.
