Ali Béjaoui and Sylvie St-Onge have published a report on remote work in a hybrid context.

A study conducted with Quebec-based organizations on the effects of remote work and the role of organizational support.

As the debate over the rollback of remote work intensifies, with calls for increased return to the office in Montreal and new directives in provinces such as Ontario and Alberta, public and private organizations are revisiting their hybrid work policies. In this context, access to rigorous data is more essential than ever.

Ali Béjaoui and Sylvie St-Onge have published at CIRANO the report “The Impacts of Remote Work in a Hybrid Context: Findings from a Longitudinal Study.” Based on a three-phase study conducted between 2022 and 2024 with Quebec-based organizations, this research analyzes the effects of the number of remote work days on indicators such as engagement and productivity, while taking into account the role of organizational support.

These findings provide evidence-based insights to inform employer decision-making and contribute in a nuanced way to the public debate on the future of hybrid work.
